About the author

I was born to incredible parents in the city of Fukuyama, located in Hiroshima, Japan. My parents were both American and Japanese, which placed me in an interesting cultural situation that ultimately instilled a deeper appreciation of the complexities of life. I attended an international high school, then went on to study at an American University in Tokyo, finally graduating with a degree of debatable value in Communications.

I've always enjoyed reading, which often served as a major source of "social interaction" and a sense of connectivity to things outside myself. Developing an interest in all things computer eventually led to the realization that it might not be such a bad thing to do for a living. But before that happened, I had to first experiment with writing, which came about by rather unusual circumstances that put me in touch with the writing community often associated with the creation of films. After the ensuing of much drama, I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth when years of work were unexpectedly put into the hands of a different entity.

Turning my back on that chapter of my life, I embarked on a journey to improve my IT skills, which ultimately led me to many interesting jobs in many interesting places. Throughout it all, an idea had been forming in my mind for a story that I really wanted to tell, and though it took years, I finally finished the first draft and created this web site as a platform to track my progress and post relevant updates to the final stages of the book.
